Well guys I found out the issue with my car and think i got a good deal on an engine. I got a series II supercharged 3800 out of a wrecked buick regal. 1 owner with 96,000 miles for 350 and getting it installed for 250 so I should have my baby back sometime next week. Thank all you guys for your help. Can't wait to drive it with the upgrade!

Looking at your sig.. and the fact that I dunno what the heck your talking about beyond you must have hurt your original motor.... uh you do know that it's not a drop in and drive kinda thing right? There's going to be a couple minor changes you'll need?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Yea I know all of that and like I said before I don't do my own mechanic work. The shop that my car is in has done many the same swaps so I know it's not just a drop and drive job but that doesn't change the fact that I can't wait to drive it after the swap is done. We're not all mechanics but that's why they make money, too pay somebody that knows what they're doin...

Hope your mechanic can tune...because your going to need to dropping a Blown 3800 on a N/A transmission. Your either going to need the GTP PCM tuned for 3.29 vs. 2.93 gearing or your going to need a GTP file flashed onto your current GT PCM...and STILL need the gearing changed.

I don't know about all that stuff but my mechanic is pretty good at what he does so I'm sure he knows exactly what he needs to do. He said he's did a few GT to GTP conversions.

And you'll need a drilled flex plate since the flex plates ARE specific to the short block rotating assy's.

That is if you want to use your 245 MM converter thats in your transmission.
