I have searched and found no answer to my question. I am looking at a 2000 GTP with 200k on it. The guy says that he was told it needed an injector. Are there any upgrages for injectors to use on a basically stock car? I would plan on modding in the future but it wouldn't be for a little while. Also, he want $1500 for it. It's high mileage but in REALLY good condition. black 4 door. Is this too much? I'm supposed to go look at it on saturday. Thanks ahead of time.

I would just grab a set out of a junkyard for next to nothing....They probably wouldn't help a stock car that much, but I haven't upgraded so I don't know from experience.....You can look on ZZP's website and check out the injectors they sell, I know there are quite a few. But for the money, if it was me I would find some out of the junkyard because with the amount of money you would save, you could use it toward other performance mods
EDIT: Also if you buy the used injectors, while they are out you might want to consider having them ultrasonically cleaned by a shop, not a bad idea!

Just grab some used stockers and save you money for a new trans. for the GTP. It'll need it soon, if it hasn't already lost OD it will.

Thats a decent price, but I would just replace the faulty injector for a stock one and call it good... No need spending 200 or more on a set of high flow rate injectors til you really need them. And if you have any trouble finding them locally...

I have several full sets or just a single if you need it.

    Awesome picture.

I got about 10 more than that now actually... I rigged up an old fuel rail with an air compressor fitting and fill the hose with carb cleaner then test each injector and run the cleaner through it. I am about to order a bunch of those plastic retainers for all the ones that need it and get rid of these guys...lol

Don't really need the plastic clips just to save you money and time...just good...new o-rings.

I never had the plastic clips in my stockers.

Replace the injector before purchase. Then see where you're at.

Thanks guys, I think I've decided to pass on it. 200k is an awful mileage. If I had the money to build a motor and tranny like I would want to do then it would be a different story, but I don't.

I'd be halfway surprised if at 200k it hasn't had either the motor or trans replaced or rebuilt already... My gt trans made it to 156k, my gtp motor AND trans made it to 174k(blew the motor 31 miles after a rebuilt trans=the condition I bought it in) And I had to replace that rebuilt trans a few weeks ago when it only had 5-6k on it.
