The car is a 97, digital hvac controls. It doesn't matter how i have the air set, air comes out of all vents at all times. I tried replacing the drivers side actuator door, that didn't help. Sometimes the dual zone button will come on by itself. Any ideas?

on my 98gtp the hose runs through the wiring harness by the battery and fuse block on the passangers side, into the car in the middle by the front of the console, one of the only balck lines going to the hvac controller with a black boot. I replaced mine with a piece of brake line following the automatic shifter on an 98 gtp (supercharged) reducing the vacume line length by at least 1/2.

ive never played with a digital hvac, but i didnt think that the digital would have vacuum controlled blend doors....

My 98 has the dual digital climate controls, and it converts it over for vacumme operation. on the other hand my 1988 Pontiac Fiero had push button electronic mode selector, and a slider for the temperature that i was abl;e to convert to use the digital controller from the late 90's Grand Prix, rigged up as single zone.

How much air?.. If its slight, try turning it to max and see if it keeps blowing. If thats the case it's normal.
