Welcome to the site.
1) Buy headers. Speed Daddy's from EBay...you NEED headers with high compression and a GenV
2) Stock pump is fine...so are stock supercharged injectors as long as you stay stock pulley size...which is 3.8"
3) Bryant...'06 GT's ARE supercharged.
4) ZZPerformance sells the TB adapter...and I don't know where Joilet is, but I'd find a local that can tune...mail order top swap tunes aren't that great...and that has been proven on here...they are ok to get the car started...but that is about all they are good for.
2006gt is supercharged no gtp in 2006
high compression ? iheads arent 8.5 like the L67 ?
thanks 4 the heads up on the tuneing i was just gonna do a zz proformance tune
Heads don't determine the compression...the pistons do. N/A cars have 9.4:1 compression and supercharged cars have 8.5:1.
I don't mean to be a douche...but read about these cars...a top swap isn't the easiest thing to do.
Read the Top Swap sticky and the Safely Modding Your 3800 Sticky. They are in the General Tech Section and the N/A Section.
headers are more difficult than doing the head gaskets.
And thats only because most cheap headers are a PITA to get together the first time.
idk know either till this week lol
i knew the compression diffrence thats y ya switch the heads the bottom ends the same on gt and gtp i hear idk just what i heard not doin the swap till summer tho so yeah im doin my research i just knew the gen v setup was better
Bottom ends ARE NOT the same.
Pistons and rods are both different. GT block has higher compression...GTP block has lower compression...I don't think your understanding that switching the heads does nothing for compression ratio. Switching the heads allows for the injector embosses to be in the heads and not in the lower intake manifold like on your N/A car...
I see well thanks 4 the heads up : ) . You said my stock fuel pump should run this in its stock from ?
ok i did thanks a bunch you guy really helped : )
GTP injectors only work if you plan on adding boost and stopping.
ok well i bought i l32 top swap with the injectors ect havent checked yet but hear my 2002 will need injector connectors ? just gonna kinda put it on there stock with headers till have more cash .
ok cool yeah kinda just puttin it on there stock plus saw the headers you told me about plus my fender well air intake had the hot air seemed like i lost power had kr with my n/a motor so made my own kit looks great and put polly motor mounts no more kr : ) thanks 4 all your help so far by the way : )
