Can anyone give me a price check on how much it costs to get your car re-painted and finished to brand new? Have some rust spots and some paint missing in areas and would really like to have it all re-painted if possible.

Just a quick stab at a price from most regular body shops would probably be in the $3000-4000 range if it's done right.

You GET what YOU pay for remember that. I got a grand just in the front bumper, air dam, 300 in the trunk and 850 in the hood. The rest of the car is factory paint. So I would have to say MMMM 3500-4000.

In theory, it's not a bad idea. In reality, though, if he finds a shop willing to paint over someone else's prep work, it's likely the paint job will not be a good one. I can't imagine a shop that can do good work would be willing to rish their reputation on something like that.

I had a dent pulled out of my drivers side fender, and some cracks in the front bumper fixed. than had both the bumper and fender repainted. I had my father-in-law do it and it was about 400. But I had the family discount.
