the plug is on the drivers side bottom of the radiator. most times they don't want to budge so just pull the lower radiator hose.

    97 GT - slow, rusty
93 CTD - more slow, less rust

I've read that sometimes removing the plug can cause it to leak in the future.

So just stick to taking off the lower hose like the guys above recommended.

I was forced to change my coolant when the hose going to the overflow tank was severed by the belt. Now I have it zip tied out of the way to the battery handle.

What are you trying to do? If you can not figure out what the lower hose is you may want to have some one assist you.

There is a hose going into the top of the radiator. there is another hosegoing to the bottom of the radiator. Pull the bottom one. If you were under the car it will be the one closest to you. Don't forget to bleed the system after you fill it back up by opening the screw on top of the thermostat housing by where the radiator goes into the top of the engine.

You have to bleed the air out of the coolant system after your done filling it up. Some people have a crap load of trouble with their car over heating after they fill it up and some don't have any issues.

Just fill the radiator all the way up with the car off. squeez the top radiator hose to attempt to get more air out. Refill. Repeat. start car. While car is still running refill radiator. Put radiator cap back on befre you stop the car. Let run and make sure it does not over heat.

Or just open up the bleed screw on the t stat housing as you will it up, then start it and let it reach operating temp with the rad cap off and wait for coolant to come out the bleeder.

You can buy flushing tees at autozone, or take it to a shop with a power flusher.

the flushing tee allows you to flush it for a mere 5 bucks or something, and it does it the right way. go that route.

or fill your radiator with water, let it run a few minutes, drain, and repeat as you see necessary.
