Does anyone know if a 2004 GP GT tranny will work on a '01 GP GT? Or what about a 200 Buick Reagal tranny?

I can't tell you the exact years that work. But I put an 03 Buick LS (4t65e) in my 2002 GTP (4t65e-HD). We had to swap the differentials (wasn't hard) ...since the replacement tranny was a non-HD version and I had to obtain an 03 PCM...b/c tranny was in "limp mode".
If I was you I would stick with looking for an 00-03 4t65E. Car-part.com is where I got mine with 30k for $750 minus shipping.
You don't want a '03 transmission unless you like dealing with it in limp mods like said. It will NOT shift out of second...and when it does...it happens about once in every 40 key ons. Trust me...I know. Find yourself a '98-'02 transmission...and the '04+'s are even more different since the internals/sensors/plugs are different then the 97-03 cars.
