Went out popped the hood and saw something that just pissed me off... The bolt on the top of the S/c was stripped... Took it to the stealership thinking they could just get it off and replace the bolt... They told me they are not supposed to service S/cers and that I'd have to pay them 100 buck just to replace the oil and that the bolt wouldnt be changed... So I'm fuming anything I can do for this?

You can go to home depot and get a screw remover kit thing. It taps into a striped screw and removes it slowly. It's like a drill bit but it removes screws. Then I don't know what you can do to replace it.. go try and match it at homedepot?

you dont need to put the same thing in it, just find the right thread and put a metric bolt in it and be done.

if you go to home depot they have a little display where you can try and thread the bolt into various sizes. That way you can find out the type of thread, and then they can help you with the length. Then you should be all set!!

If you place the thread of the plug parallel to that of a bolt the threads will fit perfectly if the thread is the same.

if theres room use a grinder with a thin blade and cut a grove it, use a screwdriver to remove it.i;ve done this a boat load of times, sometimes you don't have a choice, ya got to do what ya got to do.
