Thread: blown motor carnage/name that part game (pic heavy)

not too long ago i picked up a mostly complete L67 out of a 2001 gtp. the previous owner put a 3in pulley on a stock car and we all know what happens next. i plan on using it for top swap parts or possibly selling them after i've torn everything apart and learned as much as i can from it. hoping for a top swap around the beginning of next summer.

problem is, he had torn it down before and somewhat put it back together, so i'm having a little learning curve as to what everything is/where it goes without having seen it at the start. so please, name that part!

and on to random brackets. yeah, they're bad pictures. my hope is that somebody who's done this before can tell me what they are, where they go, and most importantly, do i need them for a top swap?

very good job torque.... as i was scrolling through pics i was sayin the exact same things. except what ur callin crossover shield is a double pic of EGR shield isnt it?

yeah, that's a double pic that i meant to take out lol. i could probably go do that

no i was calling the shield under it the xoverheat shield but hey i tried

The black peice with the silverish heat shield is the flywheel cover at the starter i think aswell

probably should have been more clear on that, they were in a box all together, they were in no particular order. i just didn't want to take a ton of pictures
