I have a 97' GTP and it will not pull full boost lately. It has got worse the past couple of weeks. Do you guys think it could be a clogged cat?

clogged cat faulty bbv(boost bypass) could be a few differnt things
vac leak
fuel filter can cause issues too
a clogged cat would cause excessive boost, so it's probably not your problem.
I bet its a vacuum leak...been going around like wildfire letely
Is there a typical place that you'll find a vacuum leak? A certain line or component to check first?
its usually the vacuum lines that run around the blower, mainly the rubber T that butts up to the LIM.
You think it would be wise to ditch the rubber lines and use silicone hose instead? It's been done on DSM's for years, since they've got vacuum lines running in dumb (i.e. hard to reach) places.
i never had a reason to, but i dont see why it'd be a bad idea.
^^Thanks for that.
I have silicon lines and brass T's
i was pretty hammered by the time i left that first post clogged cat shouldt have been there But i hate cats and blame every thing on them
autozone has silicon kits in like res blue yellow and black and they sell brass t's aswell
I'll need to go check them out...
I just got them from zzp when I had another order coming. Paid too much, but got them with the rest of my stuff with no extra work. https://www.zzperformance.com/grand_...1061&catid=109
Holy sh!t thats expensive! You can get silicone tubing made for RC cars and planes for about $1/ft at the hobby shop. I've used this tubing in applications that run in the 500-600 degree range. Many hardware stores and plumbing supply places will have brass T-Fittings
