I had my intermediate shaft replaced yesterday. VERY HAPPY, the dealer only charged me a 50$ deductible.
Can confirm it was replaced with updated part, and not just lubed.
My steering wheel is not straight, it was not straight before the shaft above was replaced. I asked the service manager if they could straighten it out, he said NO.
Not a major issue at all, just annoying. Car is so much better now with the new shaft.
Wondering how to fix this, have some ideas, but wanted to ask first.
Alignment was mentioned by the dealer, as in I need one. They did not do an alignment check. The Previous Owner put brand new tires on the car, and it has the stock 17" wheels.
Car is 2007 GT, 100% stock, 60,000 miles. I am not thinking it's the alignment because it drives perfectly straight, does not pull, tires are not worn funny.
I will get the alignment checked out though, to make sure that is not the problem.
Do I need to pull the steering wheel off, and put it back on straight?
Any other ideas?
