I said it because of the app.

Some features don't work the same or at all on some vehicles. So just give it a try and see what all works.

Apparently not since no one has posted it. There's a bunch of us asking since the beginning.

I just got an xperia x10 last weekend and I downloaded the Torque app yesterday. Today I'm ordering the OBDII adapter thing.

The paid version of the torque app, is supposed to support KR. I'm gonna see if I get any readings once I get my adapter. I'm just trying to figure out how to test if I'm getting a correct KR reading. Is there a way to induce some KR for test purposes? I've never scanned for KR before, so I'm not sure if it will read 0 all the time or not. Any ideas?

This is the link to the developer's forum on how to enable KR:

Safe way to do it is put the car on ramps and take your phone under it with you. Tap on the front knock sensor and look for the reading.

Sounds like a good idea. how about tapping the headers with a hammer? Think it would work too?

Now I'm thinking you don't have ramps. I can guarantee tapping the sensor is going to work. Headers...maybe.

Just whack the side of the block/head ... the sensor picks up noise in the block better than the exhaust.

anything with the ELM327 protocol and bluetooth will work.

i went with the chinese one for a total of ~$30. this looks like the one

    97 GT - slow, rusty
93 CTD - more slow, less rust
