Does anyone know how I can get my top speed limiter to allow me to go faster than 126?? I am so sick of it cutting out at 126 when there is so much more left.

I own a ton of land where its fine to go that fast. Whats the point of being able to go that fast if you never do it?

You wanna go faster, you gotta tune it. You better be throwing some Z-rated tires on that thing if you plan to go faster than the factory limiter settings.

I have the Eagle HP Ultra Plus tires on the car. They are z rated. I was reading some grand prix stuff, and there was a section that said even if you buy a tuning chip, like the one Jet makes for $500 you still can not bypass the 126 limit. So if someone knows more about that, I would love the info.

What oil do you mean. The engine or supercharger? I change both of them on a regular basis

doesnt matter. at that speed and load the motor isnt getting oiled anymore. have fun blowing up your motor.

Ok then that leads me to another question. If I blow the motor, big deal. I would love to build one that pulls alot more HP. So how would I make it so the motor keeps getting oil at the higher speeds and bigger loads?

run 5w50 and the oil volume kit thing.

not sure how much of a difference that would make though.

5w50 might be a tad extreme though...

i ran 10w40 in mine. thicker oil = more oil pressure.

however, top speed runs ruin a lot more than just the motor. point one: the transmission. why do you want to do that fast? there is literally no reason to.

so under normal conditions what would be a safer top speed? obviously 126+ is a little too crazy for our cars, but what about running at 90-100? sorry to thread jack btw.

I've had my governor tuned out on all 3 of my Grand Prixs for years. STILL don't drive over 100+. Hell, even at the track I only trap 98mph.

if you cant trap it in the quarter mile, dont bother running it in a grand prix.

I just don't see the point of the thread really. Not like there's much to be had 100+ let alone 130+

Not like with the governor you're opening up this cars potential. Everyone knows these cars blow top end. Only logical explination I can think of is reckless driving and I refuse to give advice to such a cause.

Well not everyone know that these cars are only good for 1/4 mile. And I have roads on my property where it can be alot of fun to see how fast your car can go.
