I have been trying to decide where to start modding after an intake and been reading around on here and seems like headers are the best place to start so I am ordering some ssac headers tomorrow. I am wondering if there are any write ups out there on how to put em in. i have looked around but havn't had any luck if anyone could help me it that would be great

Only advise i have is to remove all stock parts, remove tranny dipstick tube to put the rear header in, & get you some Mega Copper RTV for all of the joints from O'Rileys.

Order some band clamp too you need 4 of them 2, 2 1/4 and 2, 3 inch. Get good ones and copper rvt as stated above^. put the front header in first and then the cross over and then the rear. I found this to be the easyest way for me. I am sure others will chime in as well..

Mine came with all the clamps I needed.

You will need an O2 extension harness and I used some exhaust sealer I got from O'Rieley's that was tan in color, it is for exhaust systems and I used it on all the joints.

Remove all your old exhaust, then install the rear header first using all the original hardware.

I just tryed to order a set of SSAC headers and they told me that they were out of stock. Where are you ordering yours from? I had ordered mine directly from SS Autochrome but i emailed them asking where they were and they said they were out of stock.

Yea i wanna do the install myself but I heard the rear header and down pipe is hard to do because the lack of room but I think I'm gonna give it a shot. Then after that I'm gonna get my cat back done at a shop. 2.5" pipe to y pipe 2 glasspacks and tips

Eek, my local shop charged me 3.5 hours to do it on my last motor... $330 or something close to that, I would never pay anything close to $1200 to get them installed.

well its 400 to get the headers intalled, plus 200 for high flow catalytic converter, 600 plus cat back with no resonator with both stainless steel mufflers and stainless st eel tips, it is a little in the expensive side but they are putting all the other materials its all new pipeing
