Just registered for the site for the sake of asking advice, first off I am indeed a novice when it comes to these things I know little, all I want to do is know the best bang for your buck swap outs I'm willing to spend up to 2500 for upgrades.
I have an 08 grand prix series III 3.8 V6
First off a website called 3800 performance says the K&N aircharger kit will work on all 3.8 04 engines plus but idk true or false?

Next I would want all the stuff open to suggestions supercharger, headers, exhaust, and if someone has website links that would be amazing, or someone that has the overall HP gain from these that would be cool too. All suggestions are welcome.

2500....you are going to spend this all on parts and install yourself or are you going to have to pay someone to install these things for you? That makes a huge difference when trying to guesstimate your budget

I am quite a novice so I would probably have install done I'm sure I could read up and try to gain some knowledge and possibly try myself but I'm not sure what the savings to time it would take me to get familiar with it and not screw it up ratio is.

2500 paying someone else to do it is not going to get you that far.. I would get a set of wrenches/sockets and use this forums as your new home.. Plenty of knowledgeable people around to guide you through anything. Also start reading the thread above and purchase a Haynes manual to become familiar with the car you have.

gxp is the ls4 V8. they droped the gtp badge (superchared) for 06, so the regular N/A grandprix was just the grandprix. no badges. the gt was now the superchared model.

but yea, is it superchared or not???

no... in 08 you either get an N/A 3800 or an LS4 V8.

Another thing i was considering I'm open to suggestions comments i found a 5.3 with everything needed to swap out the 3.8 for 2700 now idk the potential of the LS4 like standard stock 1/4 times and overall potential along with other factors like engine life and do i need a tranny swap with that too.

Lol ok I'll stick to mine ZZ performance claims 9 second GPs how much you need to invest to get to that point I'm not sure but it sure strikes my interest, so I'm driving up there on the 12th to see what they can do for me I may stretch my budget a bit if they give me a good price, but he said a supercharger wouldn't happen because their HP tuners only support up to 05 software so idk what he has in mind for me.

why are you saying this? I have an 06, i know. In 2008 there is no supercharged model, just the N/A and GXP... which is why i said top-swap
