Gap them around 0.055", but I would seriously consider going back and getting the AL plugs. The AP's are platinum plugs. Furthermore, I think the 104's may be too cold for your set up. I would try 605's personally.
i went back to the al plugs, but my car cut out once again today so maybe the problem isn't fixed? it just weird that i was drive down the road and it dies and then doesn't want to start back up? until sitting for a minute....to be more in detail i found out the car bogs down and then dies....also i replaced the fuel fliter las night and some how i am now getting 20 mpg when it use to be aroung 22 mpg any reason that could be happening? and also is there a common problem with the end of the spark plug wires breaking off...i mean the tip inside the boot comes off? i had a cavlier and it had that problem and i didn't know if these cars do or not
mmmm have the crank sensor checked to make sure its not bad. And like wberacin said it could have a soft code stored in the pcm so i'd take the car to autozone or a trusted shop and get it scanned.. Dammnn i thought for sure that it would have fixed it the aux battery cable
sometimes its just hit and miss my man, but hopefully there is a soft code stored, and as trusted shops go i dont really have nay of those but i will but going to autozone even know the ones around here are idiots atleast i can watch them like a hawk.....lol i'll be sure to keep you guys posted on what happens
I would also suggest replacing the CPS (Crankshaft Position Sensor), about $30 at autozone.
The symptoms you are describing are very common with that part going bad and its a known issue. Ive had my GTP almost 4 years now and Ive had to replace it twice. One sure way to tell is when it dies you will have no spark. So when it dies if you can test for spark at the #1 plug and if there is no spark it is nearly, not 100% but nearly a given its the CPS.
When my first one went bad, sometimes it would stumble then get back on its feet and the tachometer would not be working and the TCS would be off. The second one it just went dead. It would idle for a few minutes then just die.
You will have to pull the harmonic balancer. I did a write up in the How To section on how to replace the CPS step by step. Look for it and use that if you decide to replace that sensor.
For what it is worth, my GTP never once set a code, soft or otherwise when the CPS went bad in both cases I had to replace it.
it is still happening, the car just died on me causing me to walk 4 miles just to get home i would say it is the CPS but it tries to crank over and start, more things that i have noticed is that my fuel econ went down 2mpg, i thought it could have something to do with the fuel pump...but i hear it click on and pump the fuel i am waiting for my buddy to get to my house because he gets free tow's but if i do check the spark and the number one plugs.... and it works where do i move next ?
hmm ok so the car is still doing it i rechecked all my connections and this time i noticed that the bolt for the wire connector on the coil pack and the pcm where lose could this have been my problem, i'm trying to take this step by step i would say the cps but my tach is still working so....
Just because the tach is working doesnt mean its not the CPS. Sometimes mine would cut out, sometimes it wouldnt. But when it did, thats when I knew for sure. But also keep in mind the CPS controls the tach signal AND spark, and one part can go bad while the other part works fine.

When mine went out, the tack quit, but the car still ran.....there are 2 pickups on the CPS. The assumption is that one is for the tack and one for the PCM to control spark.
Now if you found loose wires, that could be a problem now or later, so its good you found them. Whether or not its the cause of your current problem, only time will tell. I am really suspect to all the loose connections you have. I have had my car for over 5 years and have yet to find a loose connection anywhere. Have you done any work to the car recently that would have caused all the loose connections, or did you buy it recently (someone may have demoded and not hooked everything back up tightly).

i be honest i do think that this car was demodded before he sold it i only say that because all of the things a saw. It always looks like someone has already been there before me for example: when i went to take out the factory air box there was a bolt missing and the other one was some what loose, just an example i am still looking for more loose connections right now, and then i am off for another drive. I thought that if was the CPS i would dye while just sitting in the drive way.... but it only does it while driving, if all connections are good then i was check into the CPS if it contiues to die
what pcm are you using?
if you have zzp's off shelf pcm the p0300 codes are disabled, (for cammed cars but on all their off shelf pcms)
I was having the exact problems (refer to Branson 2007) gas mileage went in the crapper, cut out, died, but would restart in a few minutes, but did get stranded on the highway, in a bad neighborhood, etc. I changed out the iac, map, fuel pump, fuel filter, and then finally put in a stock pcm... viola, code set! po305... misfire cyl 5... changed spark plugs, changed wires then finally coil pack... FIXED!
It's always a good thing to be around alot of people with the same car as you, I borrowed a coil pack from a friend to determine it was in fact the problem before I bought a new one.
ok new problems it has been a week since i drive the car, being off work i really have no where to go i never did listen and change my Crank Sensor, but today it did it again and i noticed that some of you said that it happened to you but when it tried dying and you gave it gas it would keep going, well i tried that today and it surely just died i am not saying the the sensor that you guys recommended to me is out of the question but is there anyway that this could be fuel related ? i have already !.changed plugs and 2. changed the fuel filter, and ever since this problem my gas mileage is sucking could there be a bad injector, or maybe water in the fuel tank ? fuel pump maybe ? i am trying to elimate things one by one but i have a feeling that it all could come back to be the same thing from the beginning
