Hello again all. I successfully just changed out the hub on the driver's side and now it runs real smooth with no vibration. Next step is to change the supercharger fluid. I have not done this before and am hoping to get some advice from some fellow GTP'rs. I know its overdue for some maintenance, so please, if anyone has any relavant information, it would help alot.

    Make/Model - 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
    Miles - 120k

I was told it might be best to just take it to a dealer but like everyone else I don't wanna spend an arm and a leg. What type of fluid is best? About how long? Any certain thing I need? Thanks in advance.

its very simple. unscrew the hexhead ??? in the supercharger on the front side and stick a squerter from a windex bottle or something down in the hole and simple squert it out into something. then poor some supercharger oil in it. you can get some from gm, some people just use gear oil. your choise.

Dealers typically won't change the fluid. Some might.

I went to Wal-mart, bought a turkey baster for like $1.30 and put a piece of vaccum line on the end of it. I can suck almost all the fluid out at once. Then add the new GM stuff. Quick and very easy.

Haha my dealership told me they'd do it for $600 since the ONLY way to remove it was taking off the supercharger. I instead just bought 2 pts and did the windex squirter method

Just make sure you get a real good whiff of the oil when you take the plug out.

Fill it up to the bottom of the threads. Normally takes about 2.

    I paid $11 for a 4oz bottle.

A pint is 16oz and I have never seen a pint bottle sold through the dealer. If you did buy a pint, please post a PN for it.

I paid $7.50 each when I bought two (2) 4oz. bottles. I used all 8 oz. when I changed mine out.

The smell stank up the whole shop - it's horrible.
