Had to replace a few sensors on my crownvic so my Header cash just got a hard hit so togs are no longer in the budget
    So Im looking at SSAutoCrome
    or Pacesetters

Any advice or real input about them I know they will both get the job done is one easier to seal then the other
    is hightemp rtv reccomended
    any suggestions

SSAC are probably better quality than pacesetters. if you dont went the pacesetters you probably will have a very hard time getting them to seal. if youre using RTV to seal then you obviously dont have them sealed correctly.

honestly if your header fund has been knocked down enough to not afford a good set of headers then you shouldnt be modding your car because you dont have enough money to fix it when you break it.

Its not about having money to fix it Im putting around 3500 into it right now
I just had a certain amount set aside for certain aspects of the car

I have to smog my cv so i replaced the o2 sensors and the maf and that was 400 bucks out of my build

as far as modding goes I can fix it if it breaks and money isnt an issue as far as repairs Just at this moment in time Id rather get the headers before the engine goes back in the car

Orig i wanted TOGs cause they are CA legal headers But I have a few friends in smog shops plus ill have my smog cert this year so i can look at more cost efficient headers

Get some nice band clamps. I used copper rtv on the band clamps when I put them on to help them seal and neither of them are leaking.

Good to know As soon as I get the block back from the machine shop it should be together within a week We only have around 3 hours a day to work and part of that is clean up

ssac's have a stupid u-bend in the d/p section which is just plain stupid. If you get the pacesetters just get them welded, you will need new crossover bolts, the ones pacesetter gives you are too short lol
