Ok , heres whats happening .... yesterday , me and my fiancee took my Grand Prix to the store , left the house .. car started & ran fine as usual .. made one stop , re-started fine , drove a few more miles , shut off , gone approx. 15 mins , came back .. car would'nt start .. and the security system started going off , even though i had'nt armed it .... also heard a relay ticking under the hood .. initially car was'nt accesable to attemp jump start , however when we could get cables to it . it did start . The car is a 2000 GT , 3.8L , Stock ... has premium sound system , keyless entry , approx 97.000 mi. and has had good maintenance... i did recently , relocate the amp , thats factory mounted in underbelly of the rear package tray , to allow for a change in my rear speakerbox , amp is the one thats supplied with Bose premium sound system, just wondering if this could've caused a draw on my battery , which is about 2 years old , and the exact unit specified for the car .. I did make sure the amp was still affixed to the metal wall just adjacent to the drivers side rear inner fender well , this is the only recent changes to the car , Im probably putting the cart B4 the horse here somewhat , as im taking the battery , still under warranty , back to point of purchase today to get it tested, but any and all suggestions of OTHER possible avenues to check would be appreciated ... thanks ...
