    i just typed out over 2 paragraphs explaining my story only to realize i could do this much faster.

    short and simple, is a half inch over the max line on the dipstick bad? should i get back under there and let a little out??

    it probably wont hurt anything in a realistic sense, but you could be safe and empty a little out. its up to you.

    Well..............what happens is that the crankshaft whips the oil up into a froth, and puts a lot of air into it. That air in the oil doesn't lube very well. I really wouldn't worry about it to much unless your goina be spinning some high RPMs

    well within the next 3000 miles, i may hit 5800rpm a time or 2. ill just drain it

    Or...you could get a crank scraper...those things are proven to help...but only on little 4 bangers

    It's also bad for the main seals when the oil is over filled.

    just loosen the screw on the oil pan for a couple seconds.. itll take a min of your time and could possibly save some money

    yank the plug out for a second and put it back in so what if you get a little oily it wipes off ha
