my son has a 2000 grand prix. yesterday he tells me the trunk release with the key fob, and glove compartment button, backup lights, and the automatic door lock when the car is put in gear all do not work. i checked fuses for backup light/ trunk release, and door locks. all good. what could be common for all these problems? any suggestions would be helpful. thanks. dave

Those will NOT work when its in gear. Its a safety feature.

Or did you mean while NOT in gear?

ahhh my bad... have you checked all fuses yet? If not, I would do that first. Also, any recent wiring added... ie.. stereo's ..etc?

The only fuses i have checked are the ones pertaining to the problem, thats why i cant figure out what is common with all these problems. No wiring has been added
