Seat belt rewind and performance mode light

That Guy

Hey guys,
My seat belt doesn't rewind all the way anymore and I have to sorta feed it back. Does anyone know the name of the part that rewinds the seat belt or how I can go about fixing this. Its a small problem but really irritating.

I bought the Haynes repair manual but all it says it to replace the parts if they need to be replaced

Also, when I push the button in on my shift knob the car is supposed to go into performance mode however the light on the instrument panel cluster doesnt come on. Other than the light itself is there anyway to know the car is going into performance mode. The car had the problem when I got it so I am not sure if I have experienced performance mode.

Finally, I was told that some of the fluid from my broken auto dimming rear view mirror got into the panel next to the shift knob and melted the plastic part that shows you what gear your in. If I buy a whole new center console, which I need to do anyways, will it come with that panel? If not, where can I get a new one?

Thanks

name of the part
It's called a "seat belt retractor". Different part numbers for different years and different part numbers for coupes and sedans. New they are $75-100 each. Check out Ed Morad
Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts for an economical replacement if you don't want to hit a local salvage yard.

No. Console and the Trim Plate Assembly are two seperate parts. Console is the same for all years (97-2002), Trim Plate shows three part numbers (97-99, 2000-01, 2002). Console is $75.50, Trim Plates are $98. Once again Ed Morad can probably fix you up MUCH cheaper. He's saved me hundreds.

Note: My prices are from 2003 so they are almost certainly low.

anyway to know the car is going into performance mode.
The button on the shift knob changes the shift points of the transmission. It will hold in a gear longer when the button when you're in performance mode then when you're not.
