I just bought a set of Autolite 104s and when I bought them online I forgot to see if they were specifically for my grand prix, so does anyone know if I have to gap them and if so whats the gapping? Thanks!

i gapped mine at .052 because i was trying to run a lot of boost, but youd probably be okay with .055 or so.

As far as mods go I have a cold air intake, 3.4 pulley, 3" downpipe with a high flow cat and u-bend and resonator delete, and flowmaster mufflers.

Even if the plug says it is exactly for your car you need to check the gap. You never now if it has been dropped or what not. I run mine at .054

01GTP you make a very could point, I guess .054 or .055 it is, does .001 really make a difference?

Nope. You want the biggest gap that you can run without having spark blow out. That's why everyone is always closing the gap when they increase the boost. To try to help prevent this from happening. But the bigger the gap you can run the better. Typically it gives a smoother idle along with a cupple other things

O, alright. I plan on getting bigger ignition wires in the near future will that effect anything?

Maybe a little. You just have to see what you can run. If you have a scanner you can keep opening up the gap till you start to miss. Then just back it down. I have not taken to the time to see what i could run. I just decided to go with .054-.055 and it has worked fine for me

I ran .054 without any issue on my white car (when it had a few bolt ons), I still run this plug and that same gap on my black GTP though.....
