Steel swagelok-style dual-ferrule fittings would be better, but also bulky and very expensive, even for knock-off brands.

Brazed tubing extensions = clean, cheap, and reliable.

Oh yeah, that piece 'o bling was just a proto-prototype to get the angles and routing right before cutting and bending tubing; never installed and run in that configuration.

Even my second version with only two fittings had two issues:
1) Under WOT pressure, the fitting on the feed line would weep gas ever so slightly.
2) That long, extended, return bend line was so heavy the whole return line was starting to sag/bend under the weight.

The first issue could probably be solved with Swagelok, but not the second. Further, to mod that rail for an IC would have required at least 4 more Swagelok fittings, now we're talking some money.

The third version uses a brazing technique to extend the steel lines. Working out great so far.

But unless the OP is interested in keeping his stock lines and is looking for a cheap top-swap fuel rail solution, I think I'm helping to take this thread off-topic.

are you more interested in keeping the modded rails or the ones me and parker are coming out with?

I think he's going to stick with the modded.


What brand do you perfer and I will look them up for you.
