    idk if its normal but the needle is a lil bit above the half way mark on the dashboard and it warms up fast. I noticed the fan wasnt on when i opened the hood but it does turn on when I turn on the AC.

    and what kind of coolant should I use? considering the whole dex-cool bad for us law suit thing

    Go get it flushed somewhere or DIY it. Use the green stuff IMO. Dex-cool blows. If you have a stock temp T-Stat it might climb past the middle mark too since it is getting hotter outside. Go to a local auto parts store and get a 180* or 160* T-Stat if you are worried.

    you cant use a colder thermostat effectively without changing your fan turn on points to be lower. i run a 180* thermostat all year long.

    If you have a stock car and no tuned PCM, a lower temp t-stat isn't really going to do any good other than lowering your MPG and making it run worse. Stick with a stock t-stat and just get your coolant system flushed and re-filled with new coolant.

    also, make sure the air is bleed ut of the system.
