i would have a hard time paying that price for that system. the systems now adays are stainless steel , so taking off a stailess system that will last just shy of forever to replace it with aluminized tubing that will last 4 years if you lucky is silly in my book. why not just order a couple of dynomax mufflers and tips from say summit and jegs for $100-$150 and then pay a muffler shop $20-$30 to weld them on ? just my opinion.
i will most likley just buy a downpipe and a u-blend, have a shop put them on because i would like HP more then sound and from my understanding mufflers dont do much for HP but i could be wrong
price is high for a piece of junk, I put a similar system on my bravada when I was driving it regularly, and it rusted out in just over a year, from the outside (I guess Atlanta has too much salt on the roads or something)
Yeah, I'm going to say don't do it. Had that system on my Old GT and it was rusted to hell. I have a stainless system on my GTP and it love it. Find a good exhaust show near you and have a custom system made up for you. Best bet in my book.
There you go. Answered your own question.
Performance, loose the down pipe, cat, and U-Bend. Install an after market 3" DP, and just GUT the cat if you do not have emission tests, and if you do, then go with a LOL "high flow" cat as many sell over priced, and the U-Bend, any decent shop can create this for you vs. buying one to weld in. Best bang for the buck right there.
The resonators decrease drone, and the mufflers change the tone/exhaust note. Getting a 3800 to sound good is slim to none. They can sound bad ass at idle, but once you get on it....
For the track, drop the exhaust from the cat back, and enjoy the ride and the sound.
