Has anyone gone T/C and if so what kind of gas mileage changes did you notice, I'm talking about for a GTP.

    Thanks

    Im about to...

Depends what you have done and how you drive. Turbo should increase gas mileage a lil bit, but whenever you get into boost its going to kill it on both s/c and t/c applications. Usually people switching from s/c dont look into turbocharging for the gas mileage, they do it for the power.

I'm doing it for power too. I know the basics of how they work but not exactly, i just want to know if turbochargers suck as much gas a a S/C, or if the power is worth the gas mileage loss.

    Thanks

gas mileage with a sc or a turbo isnt terrible its whether or not you got a lead foot, lead foot=boost=more air=more fuel=empty gas tank easy on the pedal will change alot...

^^ Sometimes...depends on everything is tuned right too...before my tune...with my cam, headers, and stuff I was getting about 13-15 average...pig rich...tuned the car...still drove the same (which by the way is VERY WOT lol) and I was AVERAGING 21. Saw 33 one night on the highway It is all in how you drive too...plus like it was said, turbo's are more efficient, driven by exhaust gases, not off of the motor, like a blower...which causes a parasitic loss since you have to spin the motor to spin the blower...

I have a 3,000 Stall and 3.29 gears.... I really haven't noticed much if any gas mileage differences, about 1 mpg less. Not bad considering...
