in short there might be one in place. some got it some didnt, either way theres a slot for one. you need to take the pass side wiper cowl off and its down in the hole.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

There is not at least in the grand prix. Order one for a regal. The location is on the passenger side under the cowl on the outside.

IIRC only the 01 or 02+ with digital hvac system had a cabin filter in place otherwise there is only a plastic spacer sitting in the housing under the passenger side of the cowl. You can easily add one by removing that spacer. I did it on mine years ago. I order the filter for a Regal. Also a good time to make sure the rubber baffles are secure in place under there to prevent a water leak on the passenger floor
