I will be changing the condensor in my 2004 grand prix. I have a question on disconnecting the ac lines, one line has a nut that holds it on, the other looks like a quick disconnect. what exact tool do I need to disconnect this AC line. I would like to have everything I need before starting the job. Thank you.

They sell the quick disconnects at most parts stores. Usually come in a set of 6 or 7 for different sized lines.

Also, be sure the system is evacuated first or your going to be discharging all the freon from the system and that stuff is no good to breath

Not sure how much knowledge you have on A/C systems so I'll just throw this out there:

Do you have the proper green colored o-rings to seal it all back up? New accumulator/dryer? A new one is always recommended when the system has been opened.

You will also need PAG-150 oil to refill the new condenser and dryer so that the correct amount of oil remains in the system. Drain the old condenser into a cup and note the amount that came out. Same for the old accumulator/dryer. Each one will likely have a different amount that you get out of them. When reinstalling be sure to fill the new parts with the same amount of PAG that you got from the old ones.

When installing the new o-rings use a little bit of PAG on them. Make sure the o-rings don't roll up when you install them and don't overtighten the fittings.

Your original post from May 2021 should give you info on getting it physically out of the car if need be.
