first off I apologize for little to no punctuation...

After many years of hounding Ive talked my grandfather into trading me his not so mint 1998 Grand Prix Daytona 500 Pace Car Edition for a stock low mile Impala. The car has sat outside in Ohio for 4 years since my uncle passed as it was his and my grand dads favorite car and all interest was lost with my uncle...
Ive replaced sensors, charger coupler tires and odds and ends but ultimately ended up spinning a bearing last night. Ive been sitting on a 94K mile L36 I know that from the heads up will swap over and I should change coolant elbows add charge cooling so forth and so on... My biggest concern is will it run with out tuning because of compression difference? I am taking the L67 out doing the heads up swap onto the L36 and putting it back in the L67 car Ive had mixed answers telling me it wont run well it wont run it will scatter it will run alright.... all stock besides new gaskets coolant elbows and charge cooling running OE L67 pcm.... Will it run??????

ill post my progress and pictures if anyone would like to follow...

    Thanks in advance for input

search for "top swap" on here. That's what you are doing by using the L36 shortblock.

And from what I recall you need a tune to run that combo safely. Also don't forget to always run 91+ octane fuel in it.
