Hey everyone, I added a factory heated seat to my GT, when I connected the harness from the car to the seat the wires for the heater element were already in the car side of the connector, My question is where are the wires for the switch,

I think for the 2002's there is only one wiring harness, cause when I added my HUD, the wires were there just plug and play..

Or if someone has pics of under the dash where the wires from their heated seat switch leads that could be very helpful as well.

I tried in the other forum, but no one replied w/ info and now that it is -4* in Chicago I think the seat heater would be awesome

if i recall, from what ed morad told me, the harness for the switches is part of the shifter harness in the center console.... so not sure that they'll be there or not.... would be nice if they were

Ive looked at the harness, I think it is tucked back in somewhere, thats why I'm hoping that someone has a pic of the wires and where they lead so I can find the other end(from the switch) and trace my way to the connector... a wireing diagram may help to,
thanks to everybody for any help they can give(including thanks to you toasty)

are you adding the passenger seat heater? If so you splice into the wiring under the drivers seat. Should be some kind of plug for the heater to my understanding.

Here's the pinout for the console harness pictured above... this is #6, C240. provided that all of the wires are there on the car side, if you are missing some on the console side, a proper console harness should get you up and running. (if it is not hidden somewhere, like it might be)

thanks very much, Ill ask Ed if he has that harness, cause that one is in my car but missing the extra extension....

is that for the 97-00 since it has the perf shift button, or since they left the wires there is it the same 97 - 03....My car is 02 if that helps, sorry to ask so many ?? but i want to be sure before I go buy stuff or start cutting and splicing wires

eh, yeah that's from the manual for my 97. if you want to verify what's what, compare the pinout i posted to the wire colors in yours.

-- check the car side of that harness, see what wires are there that do not have a mate on the console side. those should be for the heated seat switch...

i'll look and see what i have as far as an actual wiring diagram/connector info, but you should actually be able to just add a few pins in that connector i posted, along with the seat switch, and the wires down to the seat and be good to go...

now wouldnt it have been nice if the elements, etc were in the car too, just not hooked up... heh

yeah that would be nice, when I had the dash apart, I looked at that connector and all the wires seemed to be there so maybe they just dead end there, cause I would hate to have to tear apart the wiring harness and start cutting and splicing

well, i did some looking. the heated seat switch pulls a few wires from the main connector up at the front of the console, but the 2 wires that come out of the switch and go back into the harness come out at # 4 on that harness diagram i posted earlier. is something plugged into the #4 spot already on your car or no?

the biggest thing is that the heated seat switch connector (6 way) is NOT available to buy on it's own, unless you buy 650 of them..

you'll likely be best off getting ahold of Ed Morad and getting the console harness for heated seat switch, and the switch. he should be able to get you what you need.
