I was told my booths on the two CV's came off and the CV's are dry,car runs fine ,they say there is alittle play in both , they make no nosie . . . can I simply have them repacked and put new booths on,the shop is telling me to replace ?
Car is a 2002 GP 4 DR ,looks great, ,runs great ,has150 k on it ,I only use it locally.

Also needs tires and struts ,which I am OK with doing. But what about the CV's ???

Complete axles are cheap and split boots never seem to work.

I would buy a new axle.

I agree, new axles are like $60-70 each last time I checked at napa.
