So, I'm planning on a tuner for my next mod- type purchase, and as far as I can tell, DHP seems to be the better option IF you can find one (v/s HPT). So my questions are these-
1) Good place to locate one now? I understand the people that originally made the interface are still in business, but there are firmware and software configuration issues if I go that route. I know occasionally they pop up used, but not that often any more.
2) If I were to get the AVT-852 module, does anyone know where to still get the software and firmware to update it, and is that all that needs to be done to "be in business"
3) Since I have a 99 GTP, and the main benefit that I see folks refer to about DHP over HPT is the ability to tune out the cat test which may not even be an issue for me, is it really worth it to seek out DHP over HPT?
99 GTP:
ZZP FWI , ZZP 3" catted DP, Resonator delete,The occasional Poly bushing, ZZP front sway Bar, NGK TR6's, LED Headlights, 180* TStat, Anti- pogo washers ...This list seemed a lot longer before I started typing....

Turbo is the way to go.

The cat test is only on 2001+.
I used HPT on my 2000 GTP for years with no issues.

I have both. Dhp sucks. I just use to rarely to change things that hpt doesn't have access to.
They only way you can get dhp today is by finding a used one. I would recommend just buying hpt. It's much better software and hardware.
