Twice now, when I've taken the key out, the entire car has shut down. Then when I get out to check the battery. it comes back to life, having erased the settings on the DIC and the stereo. It works fine after that, until the next time.

    Any ideas?

Maybe ignition switch? If the battery and cables are all good.

might be the small grounds on the trans bell housing, where the main neg cable bolts to as well. the wires start to break off the eyelet. when this happens some people complain the dash lights cut off and on over bumps.
