Just finished putting in a new compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube. The orifice tube was a major p.i.t.a.! If anyone is contemplating this job, it was a *****, but doable. I have a 99 GTP, I'm the original owner. Im on compressor number three, the factory original lasted about 16 years, then I've run two junkyard compressors, getting like a year or so service out of each. When the last one died I bit the bullet and went new. Anyway if anyone is contemplating doing this, I had to move the ABS, master cylinder and cruise control module out of the way, but I did not have to disconnect any brake lines or move the brake booster. What worked for me tool-wise was a 1 1/16 crowfoot, along with a stubby crescent wrench. The crowfoot was slightly large, and I have read that the nut is supposed to be 26mm, but no one here in TN had that wrench size so I went with the 1 1/16. Also see the pic below, I see alot of guys opt not to change the orifice tube because its hard, but after 20 years mine was really bed.
