I have original short egr tube. Found a longer good tube at boneyard. This means the nox has a retrofit egr kit? So I need to go back and get the retrofit egr valve? Since GM does not sell the old, short tube alone.

Check Rockauto, gmpartsdirect.com, gmpartsgiant, or ebay. Might be able to score one there. If not I know there was a TSB for that. Maybe check and see if yours is covered. Not sure what year since you didn't say.
gm updated the egr or changed suppliers so the inlet port is moved 1" higher? they sell the new longer tube alone. RA has it. $24 but they do not sell the short tube anymore. i took off a good long tube at the boneyard but when i got home i figured out i have the old style so the tube wont fit. but that also means the junkyard nox has a new style egr. so back to the yard.
I got the plug for egr and I see the wires are colored. But my wires on nox are all white? Wtf?
the tube has a woven fiber cover which works well to cover up cracks. so i had to order a new tube. $20 from ebay seller. i guess when i get it i will see if it is long or short style. since i have both egr's now i can use either version. found out former owner cut antenna wire and spliced it like a 6 yr old. i think he just tied it in a knot and put some tape on it? had to properly resolder it. fm works fine now. thought my HU took a crap but it was only antenna.
If your issue is a matter of the wiring not being long enough, cut however many wires (usually 5 IIRC) of equal length that will give you the extra you need. Then cut one at a time on your harness where you leave yourself 3-4 inches before the connector and solder the new wire in. When you are done you will end up with a lengthened connector. One at a time and color won't matter. Do not cut more than one wire and you'll never mix them up.
my tube is split. i put a block off plate on it initially but figured replacing the tube is not a bad idea. till i found out about old/new tube lengths and different egr valves. went to napa yesterday with my tube and the only one they have is short tube for $44. they are $19 online with free shipping. so, i am waiting for that.
the equinox/torrent is only 3.4 motor that has this tube design. i did find 1 cracked tube at boneyard. tube is at usps near me. got to fedex last night and than was transferred to usps via fedex smartpost. which is slang for slow poke. its super slow shipping by really cheap online sellers. they ship the item thru fedex and it is handed off for delivery to usps. and sits. and sits. the fedex facility is 3 miles from my house. as is the usps facility it is at now. so we will see
got new tube. it is the short design. been told that is the updated retrofit style. so my nox has the updated egr it seems. now i only have to fix the slow speed abs engagement. been told it is wheel speed sensor. or which wheel? or maybe wheel bearing.
