Just found out that this whole time I thought I was running e85 it's actually only e54. Az made the change to only sell e54 a while ago. That sucks and explains while I was only able to drop .3 in pulley size. I just think that's crazy. I haven't heard of any other states doing this. I hate Arizona 😳

I use an ethanol content analyzer to see what I'm running before I put it in my engine. I wonder if the gas station I buy E85 from is doing the same thing.

The government is finding out it costs more to produce e85 than its worth.

The bulk of cooling is present with 50% ethanol anyways. You aren't losing that much. There are a ton of racers that only run e50 since there is not much of a gain above that, and the fuel system will be cheaper.

Ya ive been doing a lot of research on it and although pure e85 is obviously the best option, most people still get alot from the e54. A lot of people have also said that they only had to lower there timing 1 to 2 degrees so about 5-10 hp. It would also explain why my mpg has only dropped about 2-3

The only reason it's not cost effective is because only 1 to 2% of the population use it. If more cars used it there would be more and cheaper production of it.

the government heavily subsidizes E85. no matter how much people buy it will never pay for itself. you also have to consider the unintended consequences of higher prices for meat because they have to compete for their share of the corn.

there is a place in Apache Junction that sells high octane race gas for a reasonable price, I think it's Torco.

The price of corn has almost nothing to do with the price of meat. Both are stupid cheap right now.

Ya I live in surprise. Apache junction is way to far. I would have to drive down there every week since my car is my dd. I'll just stick with my e54 haha
