Hi Guys. I need a new radiator for my 05 GTP and looking around I found this one on Ebay. Being inexperienced at buying parts, I wonder if anyone could tell me if this would be a bad choice and I should go get one from RockAuto.

If RockAuto is the answer, which one of these would be considered reliable? I don't have any mods on my car, other than shiny metal valve covers from ZZP.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i got one for 52 shipped iirc off ebay, they work fine.

you swap the low coolant sensor over and if your cap looks old replace it.

I got one of eBay too and it's worked out fairly well. For some reason the transmission lines kept unscrewing them selves in which I was leaking fluid but after some loctite everything else is A+

Be careful, a lot of places say it's for a gtp/supercharged option but they are the gt radiators which are thinner. Make sure you check thinkness before ordering. For example that eBay one makes it seem as though it's a 1" think radiator by the tittle but in the description it says it's a 5/8" core.

and that dont matter one bit, buy what ever you find for the right price. my car came with a 1 inch, its got a 5/8's now and nothing changed at all. temps are the same.

and good luck finding the one inch for a fair price too.

What I'm saying is if you want a 1in make sure it is what it says it is. I don't want to pay for a 1" only to get a 5/8" you know

being the 5/8 rad works just as well as the 1 inch, id save all that money and got 50 shipped off ebay.

my car came with a 1 inch, now has the 5/8, not a single degree hotter does it run. same temps. aka save the money.

Isn't that because of the fans though. So having a 1in would cool down quicker and then save life on the fans?

Not necessarily cool down quicker, but increased capacity for heat transfer before the fans need to kick on. It helps a lot in the hot and humid southern states during summer, especially if you have a heat exchanger blocking flow to the radiator.

Stock is 5/8" for N/A and 7/8" for an L67.

The Oversized vendor radiators are 1.4" for a 97-03 and 1.25" for 04+

The 97-03 radiator upgrade is rumored to be from a 96-ish w-body

I'm almost positive it was from the cars with the 3.4 dohc motors. Lumina z34, Grand prix gtp, and whatever else those motors came in.

If you plan on modding further get the correct 1" radiator. It will have more transmission cooling capacity also. I don't have a lot of money but I'm also not a cheap a$$. Put what it calls for in it.

no it wont, the tanks are the same size, where the tranny cooler is.

all my temps are the same as before with a 1 inch.

You are correct. Both transmission cooler cores are 11 1/2 inches. Sorry.

I guess the choice is whatever he feels like spending the money on. I personally put at least what was supposed to be in there. If money is tight though, the smaller one would work
