Does anybody have a diagram or can describe the routing of the main battery cables on a 3800? I am looking at replacing the positive and negative on my 98' is hopes that it may be the reason for my slow drain and issues starting occasionally (I have already looked at other potential issues). Also if someone could add info on grounding points that would be helpful as well (I know there is one on the body and transmission housing?) Thanks in advance.

bad cables should not make the battery drain, but can cause a weak starting condition.

if your set on replacing them, remove them, then take em to the parts store and match em up for length. the start at the bat, then run along the front sub frame to the starter and the bell housing. they must be like 5 foot cables.
