2004 pontiac grand prix gt. The new wheel hub has the abs wire attached to it but i seem to have one connected to the plate that goes between the wheel hub and what it screws into. Then there is a wire that plugs into it that comes from the engine bay area. Did i need to get a wheel hub with no abs?

If you have ABS you need a ABS hub, and if you don't have ABS you don't need one with the connector. But it really doesn't matter, abs hubs are always cheaper than non abs hubs.

It's only one clip with two wires on the hub and a plug in on the metal bracket on the knuckle and thats it.

First time replacing a wheel bearing and the wheel hub came off the car but the plastic piece that holds and covers the wires staid in the spindle. Was confusing to see so I asked until I figured it out. Just needed a hammer and flat head to get the rest of the hub to come out.

Yes, just break that old pile of crap out.....a little antisieze around the knuckle there helps keep that from happening in the future.....because in another year or two. You'll be doing it again.
