    I have both motors and trannys out looking at what I need to swap over so here are my questions.
    1 Engine bay fuse box, took engine harness out with the 98 motor use the 98 fuse box in 2002 body or stay with 2002 fuse box.

    2 Rack and pinion 98 has wires going to it from the engine harness 2002 does not, do I need that wire or do I have to swap out the rack, better to do it when I have the motor out if needed. I know I have to swap the power steering pump and lines to the 2002

    3 need to swap AC compressor and lines 2002 had no pressure when I took the lines off do I need to have it evacuated before I charge it with Freon.

    4 fuel lines and the vacuum line that goes to the back top of SC need to swap over how do you get the plastic lines off and on the steel lines, can compression fitting be used on the steel lines to make the swap.

    5 Fuel pump need the 98 to go with the motor is there any wires I will need to add for the 2 speed fuel pump that the 2002 will not have.

    likely be best to get a 2002 3800 engine harness, then of course you'll need a pcm to run it in a 02 with a l67.

    grab a tb and maf from a 02. or in the canned tune you need have it changed to a 98 maf file. take your map sensor off the 98 and swap the pig tail if you end up with a na harness vs a sc harness.

    your car dont have magna steer so its never gonna work in the 02 car.
