I have a ZZP FSIC, a WBS install kit w the heat exchanger, pump and wiring, hose and fittings and gaskets for the ic. I also have the modified fuel rails.

There are plenty of how to's on here that I have read several times and I think doing this job shouldn't be too difficult. What im concerned about is making sure that I have everything else that I need to complete this without having to go back and forth to the parts house multiple times and also being 100% sure about what to do with the 2 cooling ports.

If anyone can provide me with a parts list of EVERYTHING needed to do this job start to finish, or if a list already exists, then post a link, because I cant seem to find it.
And what, based on your experience is the BEST way to block the 2 cooling ports?

If this has already been covered in another thread (I tried to find one that would answer my questions) then just point me in the right direction or post a link.

Any and all advise is welcome and appreciated. Thanks guys.

your best to just rtv the ic and the blower, them garlock gaskets suck, unless you rtv them. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...BS-Intercooler

lim modding, you should port the lim too if its stock still. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...w-to-Mod-a-LIM

folder full of pics from my ic install. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/sc...?sort=3&page=2

mines one that ed sells off the site here, a frozen boost 101 fmhe and a bosch pump, the plug on it sucks, i cut it off and soldered the wires right to the tabs, no more failures from it.

So will there be a benefit to using RTV on both sides of the gaskets and still using them too?

Threading and using the 1/4" NPT cap seems to be the best method for blocking the cooling ports?

A lot of helpful pics! I think I will take pics too to document each step just in case it may help someone down the road for whatever reason.

I will definitely pay attention to my plug to see it will give me problems. Thanks for the heads up on that.

i had bought the kit used from a member here, he said he would sometimes see a few degrees of kr and was not sure of the pumps condition. so being paranoid id check my res tank for flow, pumps pretty quiet, cant hear it, and some times it was working some times not, if i fiddled with the plug on the pump it would kick to life.

after doing some scanning for tuning i saw it hit 4º and its never done that, pulled over and dont ya know the pump was off. next day the plug was cut off lol

you can add a flow detector too. i was int he middle of doing that, got it all wired up, and the detector took a crap on me. waiting to find another good one that others have used already with luck.

Yeah, ive read about that issue. Im going to install a flow switch and run a LED indicator into the cab so I can see from in the car if it is flowing or not.

So what about additional parts? Should I get new injector seals? What other seals, gaskets, materials will I need? Just want to make sure i have it all ready to go when I start in on it.

they tend to be re usable. then again, depending on how small a pulley your running, about a 3.1 -3.2 stock injectors max out. thats when you get 42 lb's.

its best to have a tuner for all this too.

you need to figure out how your fmhe will be mounted and the pump mount. i made mine from a strap of old metal bolted under the horn bracket bolt, pump came with a exhaust band clamp on it for a mounting location on the pump.

Oh crap! that reminds me, I need to rent a pulley puller to move my pulley to another M90 I picked up. I was going to drop to a 3.2 but i think I will stay with the 3.4 that I have now. I dont need a drag car and dont want to have to change injectors unless one goes bad.

Now I need to find that thread that shows what size belt you need for a FSIC and a 3.4 pully.

i got a 3.4 and a 3.2, theres a difference for sure. once summer hits im trying to get the 3.0 on there, being im top swapped it may not work out.

you could swap your snout with the hub on it to the new blower, unless you went to a gen 5.

i did this mod to my coil bracket, worked like a charm, i used a angle grinder with a 1 mm thick 4 inch cutting wheel. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...-BillBoost-way

and the zzp/wbs ic dont have working pcv as a far as i know. you may need to do this mod as well. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...cover-breather!

that other link shows where you need to drill a hole in the lim for the back side to work,

http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...BS-Intercooler a page deep or so they talk about drilling the pcv hole and where to rtv if using no gaskets.

dont do the breather on the oil cap, thats not the right way. why eds ic is better, its got both pcv holes fully functional. nothing more needed other then bolting it on.
