I'd run it. you will know it's leaking either because you have a vacuum leak or there is coolant pooling in the lim crevices.

I have my coolant holes welded shUT so I'd just have a vacuum leak? So it wouldn't idle right correct? Whats the vacuum supposed to be at anyways?

Ya know the more I think about it this has been bothering me what is the teaspoon of oil that leaks in the LIM crevice? Its where the LIM bolt goes in one spot in the front and back literally just a teaspoon. It's done it when I first bought the car, when it was completely built N/A and when it's supercharged I dont get it.

take that bolt out, rtv the threads, put it back in, no more leak. mine also leaked at one time. rtv fixed it up.

id take them garleaks and toss em in the trash.

you can get a paper gasket for both gen 3 and 5, not sure what your running. or rtv the blower on.

Okay I did rtv the threads when I installed it must not have been enough. As far as the garlock gasket I'd know if it was leaking though right?

I run garlocs ONLY because I have an intercooler and they NEVER leaked. But I also don't install them dry. I use right-stuff rtv as well

Yea I don't understand why people use a gasket and rtv that's what the gasket is for zzp said use it dry it's a gasket I don't know unless I have problems I'm not going to take the blower off. It's two completely clean and flat surfaces I don't understand how it'd leak anyways.

spray carb cleaner at the gasket. if its leaking the idle will go up.

if it was leaking enough you would get a lean code, or have a higher or surging idle.

Because it's pre cut for intercoolers and the rtv is insurance so it doesn't leak? C'mon man lol

yes you can use it dry too. But I do things up and beyond so I don't have issues

Or try propane from a hand held torch. That way your engine bay isn't getting destroyed (if it's nicely painted)

Yeahh cuz that's what I'm going to do NO but for the reference I never asked for your opinion.... If you don't have anything nice to say don't comment on my **** alright? I've seen several comments on my own posts and other people's posts by you that are arrogant it's ridiculous.

i saw nothing of the sort in his post. hes sharing how he does it. hes also done it more than one time.

i used nothing but rtv on my ic. been just fine so far. the garlocks do have a horrible rep for leaks, unless you rtv them.

This Scotty irritated me C'money man lol? But that's not the main reason if you go to the tranny section and read my thread on shift kits he's commenting saying this thread hurts my head and crap like dude seriously? Mess with someone else I was asking serious questions I don't need your bs. Like I said though I've seen him be arrogant to several people on the forum it's not hard to tell... what he needs to realize is some people really don't know hence the reason they are asking.
