Looks like the curb weight of the 01 GTP is 3559 lbs. Can anyone provide some tips on lowering that a bit?
Thank you!

Remove all other seats, spare tire, door panels, carpet and whatever else you want.
And in the end you are talking maybe 200lbs lighter if that seeing how the only thing that weights anything are the passenger seat and spare tire. Rear seats are just foam really and door panels weigh very little.
And you won't be any faster or gain anything from doing so in a daily driven car.
I've been thinking about doing some weight reduction as well, what's the weight going to be if the front seats are replaced with Recaro style racing seats, and the sun roof removed and the hole fiber glassed over
My comp g weighs 3230 with nobody in it and a half tank of fuel. No AC, peeled floor insulation, and gutted doors as well as a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. Back seats, power windows/seats, sunroof, carpet, 19" wheels with massive brakes, full exhaust, etc.. pretty light for what it was.
My '04 GP has no ABS. So conceivably yours could probably be removed.
Got the race car down to 2890lbs with a full cage full fuel and a 220lb driver in the vehicle, had the vehicle weighed on 4 corner scales. This included Aztek aluminum front bumper, completely guttet interior with no dash, even scrapped out all excess seam sealer and all undercoating
Thank you for the help guys. It sounds like I won't gain much by removing anything.
I want it as agile as possible. I may have to invest more into stiffening the chassis. I would love to lose 200 lbs but I can't think of anything worth removing for a daily driver.

its about 50 lbs weight savings if the rockers are totally rotted away like my 97
I never imagined trailing arms would improve performance. Mine need replacing so that'll be a good start. My wife is driving it for the time being and it's seriously a boat right now. I don't think the shocks are bad either, it's everything else that has been bad for years and the previous owner never cared.
