So i replaced my resonator maybe 2 years ago if not maybe earlier. I went the cheaper route and got a Thrush glass pack, and got it welded. well since its so heavy I needed a new exhaust hanger other than pipe strapping. any ideas on where to go or what to use for an exhaust hanger. I tried some galvanized pipe strapping and screwed it to the bottom on my car, but that always seems to rust and break right away. would you think I could weld up another flange to the other end of the resonator that hooks onto another set of those rubber bushings? whats the best way to do this? because I can hear my exhaust rattling and vibrating my whole car because I have It securely hooked in another place. Another thing is the shield that protects my gas tank is broken and just hanging. I have had it fixed 2 times already with epoxy.

    I need some serious help.

you can get this deal. weld one side to the bottom of the car, the other to the pipe bushing in the middle.

no idea on the tank shield.

with out it you'll hear it vibrate. i can only assume you have it wired up now and is why your hearing it.

all the other hangers are done this way on your car already. all have rubber bushings.

yeah I have the actual flange with the rubber bushings already before the res right after the down pipe and cat. I just want to add another one to add to that so its quieter. so then the vibration on the galvanized pipe strapping "hangers" isn't there anymore.

have you tried changing the round rubber hangers at the cat back flange? you would be surprised how small they are when new.

once old they tend to be oval looking off the car, all stretched out.
