My upper dash trim panel is broken on the driver side and I was thinking about replacing it. Seems there are two available. One with "Head Up" design and on with out. Im assuming the "head Up" display is the extra gauge pot that was on top of the dash? I don't have that so Im thinking this is the correct one for me http://www.iamgmparts.com/oe-gm/15795048 I cant really find any photos so any input would be great along with any places that have a good price on this part.

    Thanks

That is the part you need if you do not have a heads up display. From looking around, that is basically the same price as everywhere else.

Body shop gave it to me a cost. $104 and took like 30 min to remove the old one and install the new one. That was with a broken collar bone lol.

So how exactly to do you remove/install the upper dash panel? Mine is cracked as well and I can't find any videos or explanations of how people did this.

Just did this at the junkyard the other day. Pull the pillars off on both sides, use a trim panel tool or a mid size flat head screwdriver and lift up on the upper dash piece starting with the edges.

I may need to do this. Someday. My 08 is cracked in 2 spots. I never looked at it that close and thought it would be a whole dash. But now that it's just a trim panel I might bite.
