I never said doom and gloom. But you are running your fans more for no reason at all......people consistently complain about only doing things half way here. I just joined in on the fun. Lol. Still no reason to run the fans set for 180 when your car is trying to run at 195. It's kinda counter productive.
no reason ? they're keeping my temps down and that's what the goal was . according to bilbo they shut off at speed , so i'm fine with them running when idling or going slow. that's when the temps USED to climb on me. not anymore ..
ill run my fans full time with not one single sh it given.
Meh, I'll log temps on a 180 and 195 and report back just to see what a difference it makes with stock tuning just for S&G's. Get back to you soon with more details.

What does KR represent? I know what it stands for, but what does it mean?

I logged today but I'm going to log again in the morning and on the way home again. I got to 217 driving at 65, actually had the temp rise. Dropped down to 50 and ended up cooling down to 206 and think it was 199 by the time I got to the house the house through an neighborhood, so slow speeds and the fans are the main source of cooling pretty much. That was AC running th whole time and 97* with 40% humidity and a feels like temp of 100. That was a little out of the ordinary, I'm going to check the overflow I'm the morning.
I'll edit it with charts tomorrow evening.

FYI the "feels like" temp has no effect on inanimate objects like cars.
I understand that, but it feels like it sucks.
if your stock any kr is tolerated, but once you drop pulley size you want 0 KR.
i was kr free when this popped on me too. it must of hit a small burst of kr at the shift and it took a crap. damn thing used to knock like crazy too till i got the tune figured out. so maybe it was already weakened some, not sure.
Hey guys. I just removed my t stat all together and my motor runs so much cooler now. The fans don't even have to run which means moar power
KR, knock retard, is the computer pulling timing to PREVENT knock/detonation. let's not confuse people, here.
it's our way of knowing that knock is occurring, but one KR is shown it's already happened.
