    Just wanted to let you all know you were a big help with all the questions i've had on here. I sold my GP to my girlfriend and ended up with this....




    2009.5 WH G8 GT <3 she's very puuuurty ^_^

    I hate driving a manual. I would take a tap shift any day over a clutch, it does the same thing, but takes the possibility of human error out of the equation

    I miss my manual... Now I have this crazy 9 speed auto (with paddle shift) but it's not the same.

    I cant imagine how cumbersome shifting a 9 speed manual would be.

    I drove a Porsche with the 7 speed manual Porsche...it drove the same as anything else...you just don't use the higher gears until you need to.

    That was the odd thing on the 540.. in 6th at 80mph you were rolling about 2500rpm

    I thought it would have much taller gears
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    That 540i engine is not very torquey. They exhaust has the right amount of back pressure to add torque. When you open up the exhaust on a 540 V8 you actually loose a lot of torque. That is why short gears.
