I know this is probably a Longshot but would a computer off a non supercharged 3.8 work on a 3.8 supercharged. And would the injectors be the same off a non supercharged engine

im sure it would run, but run poorly. with a n/a pcm.

pretty sure the injectors are not the same. you can always look up the part # of each on rock auto or other parts site.

i bought a 15 dollar code scanner when i got sick and tired of waiting on line at the parts store for the free scanner there.

torque app also reads codes. thats about 15 bucks too. its for droid os's tho.

ebay or amazon would be the cheapest route to go. at a parts store they want 5 times that.

this is the one i got. http://www.ebay.com/itm/U480-OBD2-OB...086791&vxp=mtr

So I haven't posted anything for a while.i want to thank everyone for all the time and input you all put into helping me with my questions. ....so here is what was wrong...AUTOZONE GAVE ME COIL PACKS THAT WE'RE FOR A DIFFERENT ENGINE.after I put my new long block in and got rid or the hole in my piston I wnas still experiencing the sputtering and engine power loss.minus the huge hole in my number 3 piston...I started switching things around that I took off the car....so I changed the coil packs back to the old ones and BAM magic happened and it did not misfire or sputter one bit....I was pissed so I go to auto zone and tell them what they done and the first thing they said was no exchanges on electronic devices. ...I gladly told them I didn't want my money back I came back to tell everyone working there that the were idiots and I would never be back....so long story short the people working at my local auto zone are a joke and they gave me the wrong coil packs all this time

well when you look at the scanners at the parts stores and even HF, they want over a 100 most of the time. ( thats enough to make you not want one) and it does the same thing as a cheap o scanner.
