I'll keep that in mind but as long as it's under warranty I won't be spending money on a battery.

After idrivejunk warned be about using brake-kleen, I did read the label..... no wonder I have so many life problems. LOL I put that sh!it on everything! I use it on my hands to get heavy grease off. Now, I used to use gasoline, so brake-kleen is way safer. LOL

I will be looking for something safer for future use.

put the new rear cover gasket on and the new crank seal, put the flex back on. then i humped that damn engine back on the stand ( like a BOSS ill add) then did the timing cover, then the pan. then primed the engine.

then got called out to help do some work. 2 hour break form wrenching.

went back and painted stuff up.

lets play name the part lol

then i went with a color no one else has.

its grown on me already. i like it.

yuck it up... its not all that bad really. you cant see 90% of the engine when its in the car any ways. and ill see a oil leak no problem.

knock on wood, it had best not have a oil leak.

Bronc yep I'm a big fan of labels, used to be sort of a safety with chemicals pusher at one job. Benzene poisoning kills old bodymen who clean their hands with solvent. No worries, its actually cool to be caught wearing gloves these days!

Scotty u da hoss. That color... yep butternut-esque but I'm with ya. Hidden and leak see yep.

I didn't realize it was a long weekend. GTP is lookin at me like its hungry but I dunno... other stuff to do also. The TA wheels n tires showed up today, steamrollers. I had my nose to the grindstone so no pic.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

It kills from daily use, right? Being a backyard mechanic, my benzene use is much less than a pro. Gloves are cool. One of my friends has been a mechanic for 20+ years, and he wears nitrile gloves all the time. I wear them some times, but I have large hands, so sweat is an issue, and I always tear them.

I can't wear gloves, I don't get that same feeling in my finger tips that I need.

I only wear mechanics gloves on hot things or sharp/tight stuff. But I try to not cover my hands in parts cleaner or brake kleen as it drys the **** outta my hands and it's not good for the body overall. I still end up breathing it in sometimes but that crap happens.

I have had hundreds of gallons of lacquer thinner on my hands over the years. Job requires it, and like ffdp I can't stand losing sensitivity in my fingers when working. Real men work hard in their professions and die from black lung, asbestos, lead sickness...brake cleaner poisoning. Just the way it is I guess.

Anyways, got the other front wheel bearing on tonight. Also installed end links and tie rod ends. But especially psyched because I fixed my pressure loss issue. Got the good hose clamps for the pump and installed thin o-rings on the feed line quick connects. That way it goes on good and snug but locks securely. So nice to be back to one key flip per start.
